IBM has just published a whitepaper written by Mark Lines and Scott Ambler called “Disciplined Agile Delivery: An Introduction”. The paper is free and can be found at http://bit.ly/iqCs6i
Increasingly organizations, having struggled with incomplete agile methods such as Scrum, are looking for a more disciplined, scalable, and enterprise aware alternative to supplement the core agile principles.
Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) extends mainstream agile methods such as Scrum and Extreme Programming (XP) to cover the full delivery lifecycle. DAD addresses many agile fundamentals that are not clearly described elsewhere, such as enterprise considerations, agile modeling practices, and balancing value priorities with the need to mitigate project risks.
The paper serves as an introduction to DAD, and will be followed up with the book on Disciplined Agile Delivery currently being written by Mark and Scott and to be published by IBM Press.
